Concert Music for the Virtual Organ

    This CD contains some of the most extensive works ever written for the Organ. The Sonata on the 94th Psalm or "The Reubke" is little known outside of organ circles but It is one of the works of which organists are judged by fellow organists. The predominant key is C Minor. 
    Healey Willans' work is an very interesting, a sophisticated and mature piece that combines elements of European Romanticism and North American contemporary composition. The predominant key is a dark E flat Minor.
    The Mendolsohn Sonata is also not well known outside of organ circles but is part of the standard organ literature. F Minor is the key here, but the sonata ends in a brilliant and joyous F Major.
    The "Encore" piece is a well known item by Mendolsohn. You'll just have to buy the CD to find out what it is.
